integral suppressor, integrally suppressed
An integral suppressor is a suppressor that wraps around the full length of the firearm barrel, unlike a traditional suppressor which attaches to the muzzle and extends the overall length of the weapon. It is generally unsafe to fire an integrally suppressed firearm without the suppressor attached, as the barrel of an integrally suppressed weapon is ported (has holes drilled into it) to allow combustion gases to exit the barrel into the body of the suppressor along the length of the barrel. This provides superior noise and flash reduction compared to muzzle-mounted suppressors, which are usually shorter and thus have less internal volume, and also must attempt to slow and cool gases exiting the muzzle as one chaotic burst.
iron sights
Iron sights are front-and-rear sights that the shooter lines up by eye to aim the weapon. Any sight that is not a dot or telescopic sight is referred to as an iron sight, regardless of the material used in the sight's construction. Iron sights are the oldest, cheapest, and most reliable sighting system available, but they are also the least precise. Even the most accurate and expensive iron sights can only rival a good telescopic sight, not surpass it, and highly precise iron sights (target peeps) have an extremely limited field of view.
However, iron sights are inexpensive, low-profile, and just about indestructible. They can also be purchased with tritium inserts, providing a maintenance-free sighting system for all lighting situations at a fraction of the cost of a quality dot sight. Because of these qualities, iron sights are an indispensable feature on pistols and all forms of combat firearms, though they are becoming less and less common on sporting rifles.

Izhevsk (Izzy)
The Izhevsk Mechanical Plant is a large firearms manufacturing plant in Izhevsk, Russia. Izhevsk produced several firearms during World War II, including the Mosin-Nagant, and has not stopped making firearms since.
The Izhevsk plant and the Izhmash plant are often confused, as both plants are in the city of Izhevsk, both plants have produced the same firearms at various points in time, and both plants have similar names. However, the two plants are physically separate locations.

Izhmash
The Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant (Izhmash) is a large manufacturing plant in Izhevsk, Russia, and is known in the US for being the manufacturer of Saiga rifles and shotguns. Izhmash also produces firearms for the Russian military, alongside many other military and non-military industrial products. It is reported that workers at the Izhmash factory can produce 1000 AK-pattern rifles in a single shift.
Recently, Izhmash's line of bolt-action rifles have also become available for purchase in the US. Both centerfire and rimfire versions are available, but little is known about these weapons other than their pricetags. As a word of warning, confirm the location of the nearest defibrillator before browsing through their centerfire bolt-action catalogue.
